Official Time Keeper
Moritz Grossmann Uhren

Moritz Grossmann, born in Dresden in 1826, was deemed a visionary among Germany's great horologists. In 1854, his friend Ferdinand Adolph Lange persuaded the young, highly talented watchmaker to establish his own mechanical workshop in Glashütte. Apart from building a respected watchmaking business, Grossmann was committed to political and social causes. He established the German School of Watchmaking in 1878. Moritz Grossmann passed away unexpectedly in 1885, after which his manufacture was liquidated.
The spirit of Moritz Grossmann's horological traditions sprang back to life in 2008 when trained watchmaker Christine Hutter discovered the venerable Glashütte brand and had it re-registered. She developed concepts and was inspired by the vision of reviving Grossmann's legacy more than 120 years later with a particularly exquisite wristwatch. And she convinced private watch enthusiasts to support her in making this dream come true. On 11 November 2008, she incorporated Grossmann Uhren GmbH in Glashütte.

Six years after their establishment the manufactory has presented six watch models: BENU, BENU Power reserve, BENU Tourbillon, ATUM, TEFNUT and TEFNUT Lady. The mechanical movements of the young brand MORITZ GROSSMANN GLASHÜTTE I/SA represent outstanding technical solutions and constructive details like the Grossmann balance wheel and the Grossmann manual winder with pusher. The technical highlight is the in November 2013 presented BENU Tourbillon: a flying three minute tourbillon with a guaiacum brake ring and a stop-seconds mechanism realized with a brush made of human hair.

At Grossmann, gifted watchmakers are preserving traditions without copying historic timepieces. With innovation, superb craftsmanship, a combination of traditional and contemporary manufacturing methods as well as precious materials, they have created an “Origin of a new time” with their watches – Pure Watchmaking Artistry since 1854.

Casually Desert Palm and UAE Polo won in the semifinals by the same result they achieved in the quarterfinal matches, played last monday. Also, Desert Palm achieved their second victory in OT in a row.

In the second match of the day, Desert Palm and Habtoor Polo played a much even game with the control of the actions and the score divided for each side in almost all of the chukkers.
The equal opportunities they had took the game to an extra chukker. It was a penalty, from the 40 yards scored by Santiago Laborde, that gave Desert Palm the victory and the remaining place in the great final of the McLaren Cup.
Nicolás Pieres (Habtoor Polo) was the top scorer of the match with 5 goals and Alejo Taranco, with 4, the top scorer in the winning team.
